CozyPlace is started by Nigel & Don, 2 brothers with the mission to create the COZIEST private movie room experience in Singapore.
Don is a movie snob who love designing the ULTIMATE movie experience…
Nigel is an OCD clean freak with a penchant for interior design…
Together with their snobbishness and OCD, they set out to create the CozyPlace experience.

1. Taking the leap, starting a small business in SG.
It was always my dream to open a small business in Singapore and escape the 9 - 5pm rat race…
i LOVE movies and the entire movie experience so i had the idea to create the COZIEST private movie room experience.
We knew about the risks and after 3 months of pestering Nigel, i got him onboard! We’ve decided to take the leap, rent a small unit in a mall and got to work!

2. The birth of the very FIRST CozyPlace
The next few months was challenging…we had very limited budget and dauntingly tasked with creating the COZIEST private movie room experience…
We did everything on our own, painting, flooring, moving, shopping for furniture, etc. Nigel was a BEAST when it comes to interior designing.
It took us 3 months and we finally created the FIRST CozyPlace room. It was not perfect but we were so proud and excited.

3. The MOST romantic private movie experience
Our first month of operations was HECTIC…it was a steep learning curve, creating an experience that has not been done before in Singapore.
We received many requests for romantic decorations to celebrate birthdays/anniversaries so…
We got to work, researching and shopping. Being a hopeless romantic, i wanted a candle light dinner table and a REAL candle light decor. This experience must be the MOST romantic private movie room experience for special moments.

4. Our second CozyPlace Room
We received raving reviews about our CozyPlace experience from our patrons! People LOVED the coziness!
It was a dream come TRUE! Our first room showed good feedback and demand so we decided to open up our second room after 2 months of operations!
We made a few upgrades, a bigger room, a bigger TV, a bigger and more comfortable sofa!

5. Taking a HUGE leap to our FIRST outlet @ Jalan Besar
Demand is good but we only have 2 rooms. Business is still bleeding cash…we’re jobless, so we had to make the hard decision…
Quit or go ALL IN which means investing more money.
After 2 months of soul searching, we decided to pursue our dreams.
We took a 100k in loan and set our first outlet in Jalan Besar with 10 private movie rooms.(Swipe right to finish reading our story)

6. Second Outlet in Bugis
We have not made our 100k back but seeing that we had such positive feedback about the CozyPlace experience…
We decided to reinvest everything and invest even more of our own money for a new outlet at a premium location, Bugis.
It was SO scary, Nigel and i did not draw a salary for a year and we’re so broke. Yet we had to invest more money in…

8. Third Outlet at Bukit Timah
After our upgrades, we had not much cash left but we decided to pour it all back into the business and start a new outlet!
It was a nerve racking decision as we just opened a second outlet 4 months ago…
But we believed in the business so much we’re willing to risk it all to spread the CozyPlace experience across Singapore

9. Our Fourth and BIGGEST Outlet in Paya Lebar
From our first CozyPlace room to 37 rooms and 4 outlets in 2 years…it was such a wild journey.
The blood, sweat and tears we poured in, the numerous conflicts we had over the business, hurdles we had to overcome…it was all worth it.
The journey never ends and we’ll continue to improve the CozyPlace experience and grow!

We do not have a check in process.
1. Simply make a booking
2. Show up on your booking date and time at the right outlet
3. Let us know your booking name!
4. Our staff onsite will guide you to your room!

We do accept Cash or walk ins! However, do note that it would be subjected to availability as we give priority to bookings.
Booking is only confirmed upon receiving payment. Do note that we DO NOT have a reservation policy.
It would be best to make a booking to avoid disappointment!
